Installation: Place sound input strip in the Control Strip Modules folder inside the System Folder and restart.
About: This module reads the sound input source names of the current sound input device and adds them to a popup menu for selection. It also places an icon in the control strip to indicate if the input currently selected is Microphone, CD, AV or External.
Use: Select the input source you would like to use from the popup menu and optionally select the playthrough option. If the menu is greyed out, the input device is currently unavailable, probably because it is in use.
Known problems: It reads the source names at system startup from the current input device, if the device is later changed, the menu choices will not be available. I've been using this strip on my PowerMac 7100AV with modified control strip software for several weeks and haven't had any problems, however it has only been tested on this machine. Therefore use this software at your own risk, I assume no responsibility for the consequences. With that out of the way, enjoy!
